CARMEN VICTORIA ST. GEORGE

Carmen Victoria St. George An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP Carmen Victoria St. George's principal practice areas are mass and class tort litigation. Since joining LPK, Carmen has worked on medical malpractice cases, as well as asbestos and pharmaceutical litigation. Moreover, she has successfully tried civil and criminal cases in both the state and federal courts of New York.

Notably, Carmen was part of a team of attorneys that settled an employment discrimination lawsuit brought by thousands of African American and Latino Police Officers against the New York City Police Department.

Currently, Carmen is a Commissioner for the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights. Serving with fourteen other Commissioners, she works to insure that people, regardless of sex, ethnicity, and creed are protected from discriminatory practices in employment, housing, and education. Prior to joining the firm, Carmen worked for six years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Queens County District Attorney's Office. There, Carmen gained extensive experience by trying well over fifty felony and misdemeanor criminal cases to verdict.

In 1993, Carmen earned her Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University and her law degree from Fordham University in 1997. She is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and New Jersey as well as in the Southern and Eastern District federal courts of New York.

Carmen is of Greek and Puerto-Rican descent. She is fluent in both Spanish and Greek, and handles LPK's Greek-based representation. She has been recognized by The National Herald for her positive involvement with the Greek-American community. A member of the Maritime Lawyers Association, the New York Trial Lawyer's Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Women's Bar Association, Carmen is also a trial court commentator for Court Television News, Fox News, and MSNBC.
